Lochside cottage on Scotland's west coast with fantastic views across the sea to the hills. The cottage is a traditional croft house which has been restored to provide comfortable and homely accommodation and we continually add and replace to make sure there is everything you might need.

The kitchen is large and well equipped and has windows to three sides to make the most of the views and the light. There is a cosy lounge with a peat burning stove (in addition to the electric heating throughout), plenty of books and games for winter evenings and wet days, and of course TV, DVD, video and hi-fi. Downstairs is a double room and a bathroom, with two twin rooms upstairs sleeping six in total.

We have a great location on the shore of Loch Ewe with views over the water to the hills of the Great Wilderness. The croft is five acres, with garden, vegetable plot, newly planted trees, grass and wild flower meadow. Plenty of space to play, fly a kite, launch a kayak or watch the birds on the shore.

Poolewe and the Inverewe Garden is 4 miles away, Leckmelm Garden (on the way to Ullapool) and Attadale (near Loch Carron) are within easy reach. We are ideally situated for exploring Wester Ross which has wonderful sandy beaches (Firemore is 5 minutes away), dramatic coastal scenery, wooded valleys and slopes, the Beinn Eighe nature reserve, and mountains (An Teallach, Slioch, the Torridon Hills) for the adventurous.

Poolewe and Gairloch have a range of facilities - places to eat, craft shops and galleries, swimming pool, pony trekking, fishing, wildlife cruises, golf, museum and heritage trail - but the area remains uncrowded and peaceful and a great place for a holiday.

There is a large, well equipped kitchen/dining room, lounge with TV/DVD player, hi fi, books and games, bathroom (shower over bath), 1 double room and 2 twin rooms.

Heating is electric (included), and in addition there is a peat burning stove in the lounge.

Outside there is parking for several cars, plenty of space to relax and play in the garden and field which gives direct access to the sea shore.
