Fairfield House is situated in Dingwall only two minutes walk from shops, restaurants and pubs. An ideal location if you have business or a function in Dingwall. We are only 12 miles from Inverness where you can have all the delights of city shopping, and we are in easy reach of the west coast, Ullapool, Skye, even the far north towns of Tongue, Wick and Thurso and the Scrabster Ferry to the northern isles or a visit to John O' Groats.

We are walking distance from the railway station, bus stop and Tulloch Castle who are the main venue for functions in the area.

All our bedrooms are en-suite with either a bath or shower. Tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, television and selection of toiletries are all provided as well as a good comfortable bed.

We have a large car park to the side and rear of Fairfield House with a large mature garden around the house. The north provides marvellous day trips by car from Fairfield House. You could have a different round trip every day of your stay and a suggested itinerary can be provided each day.

Leisure Facilities:-

Dingwall Leisure Centre and pool are only 100 yards away.

Golfers: there are numerous excellent golf courses in the area all open to visitors.

Angling: Fishers can experience some of the best fishing in Scotland at realistic prices. There are numerous hill lochs for brown trout, salmon rivers, and rainbow trout fisheries all within easy reach.

Clay Shooting: Loch Ness Gun Club and Highland Deephaven Gun Club have fixtures all year round.

Rail Journeys: from Dingwall railway station you can take the west highland line to Kyle of Lochalsh or travel through the northern highlands to Thurso or Wick. Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth and south are all easily accessible.

Football: we are half mile from Ross County Football Club and about 12 miles from Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club.

Wildlife: Spring watch and Autumn watch have highlighted much of the wildlife in this area especially the dolphins and seals which can be seen in several locations. In the Spring and Autumn thousands of geese pass over daily. Roe and red deer are easily seen especially in the winter. Red kites are in abundance in the area and can sometimes be seen from our door. Ospreys are seen only a few miles away. Others in the area not so easily seen are otter, pine martin, sea eagles, badgers and foxes. Regulars in our garden include siskins, coal tits, blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, ducks, blackbirds, thrush, starlings, sparrows, pheasants, wrens, and unfortunately a pair of sparrowhawks.
