Sonachan House is a large Victorian mansion set in approximately 5 acres of well tended grounds on the eastern shores of Loch Awe in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Portsonachan is the perfect choice for those who appreciate a more relaxed pace of life. The area itself is an excellent base for touring this beautiful part of Argyll.

The mansion has been tastefully divided into private holiday apartments, whilst 10 cedar lodges are situated throughout the grounds on the banks of the Loch. All our accommodation enjoys glorious views over the Loch to the hills beyond which are a pleasure to wake up to.

These most attractive luxury lodges are excellently situated near to the water's edge with its small shingle beach. The lodges are warm, welcoming and extremely comfortable.

All lodges have:
* central Heating
* colour TVs with Freeview Digital TV
* bath with shower and separate cloakroom (4 person lodges)
* bathroom with shower over and en-suite shower room to master bedroom (6 person lodge)
* fully Fitted Kitchens with washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and complete with cooking equipment, kettles, toasters etc. (6 person lodges also equipped with dishwashers)
* tumble dryer
* all bed linen included
* complimentary bottle of wine
* use of two fishing rods per lodge
* free rowing boat hire (subject to availability, contact Loch Awe Boats to book your
complimentary one day boat hire. Prior booking necessary)
* one well-behaved pet welcome
