Standing in over 4 acres of woodland and gardens, Trigony is a luxury Scottish Country House Hotel with a combination of a wonderfully relaxed style, excellent rustic cuisine and friendly local staff, offering many activities which make exploring this hidden corner of Scotland such a great pleasure.
Because of the age of the house the 10 hotel rooms are all very different from each other in size and layout but all enjoy their own character, and all have hand sprung mattresses with fine Egyptian linen and are individually furnished.
The larger of the hotel rooms have a small comfortable seating area and the Garden Suite has its own conservatory. With comfort and relaxation in mind, a butler's tray is supplied with homemade shortbread and real coffee, and the toiletries are made specially for the hotel by the Caurnie Soaperie at the Organic Herb Garden in Kirkintilloch.
Most of the rooms have views over the gardens and the Lowther Hills to the east while others look over the Kier Hills to the West.
Now owned and run by Jan and Adam Moore and their local staff it is treated as much as a well loved family home as a relaxed country house hotel with all the facilities to make an enjoyable country holiday.

At Holmhill Country House, Thornhill, we aim to provide our guests with a combination of old fashioned country house style and modern luxury amenities. We are a Bed and Breakfast Guest House, but as well as B&B, we aim to provide the facilities of a small hotel.
Holmhill Country House is on the edge of the tranquil Dumfries and Galloway village of Thornhill, 20 minutes drive from Dumfries and just over an hour from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Carlisle.
The accommodation includes two guest bedrooms with twin/double beds. Both guest bedrooms have south facing views over the garden and hills beyond. Both bedrooms have spacious luxury en suite bathrooms.
Enjoy the breakfast of your choice in the graceful dining room. Relax in our lounge area between the guest bedrooms or in the bright and stylish drawing room. For dinner we can help our guests with recommendations and provide transport for local venues. We may also be able to provide dinner at Holmhill by special arrangement.
The area around Thornhill and Dumfries is full of things to do - walking, cycling, fishing, golf, and sightseeing. The Southern Upland Way is close. Historic Drumlanrig Castle, home of the Duke of Buccleuch, is only 3 miles away for you to visit.
