Michael and Jane offer you a warm welcome to NEVIS REST our recently completed modern self catering apartment annexed to our main house Garadh Buidhe (Gaelic for 'Yellow Garden'). We are situated in a stunning, rural setting in one of the most idyllic and unique locations of the Scottish Highlands with spectacular views across to Glen Loy, Benn Bhann and the Caledonian Canal and set right on the banks of the River Lochy, in the shadow of Ben Nevis, just ten minutes drive North of Fort William, the Outdoor capital of the UK.
Nevis Rest is finished to a high standard with oak flooring throughout, oak kitchen units, oak doors, solid oak double bed and extendable dining table with leather and oak dining chairs. It comprises of double bedroom, en suite shower room, open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with double leather sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, cafeteria and good quality pots, pan and utensils. It also has HD Satellite TV and DVD player, free wi-fi access, programmable electric heating. Bedding, towels, hair dryer and iron are all provided. On site we have bicycles for hire.
Nearby there are opportunities for walking, climbing, hillwalking, bicycling, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, swimming, boat trips, ten pin bowling, salmon fishing, skiing, snowboarding and many, many more activities in the Lochaber area.
Close by you could take a trip on the Jacobite Steam train (as seen in the 'Harry Potter' films) to visit the fishing village of Mallaig with spectacular views across to Skye, passing the Glenfinnan viaduct en route.
Within the Fort William area you could visit the Treasures of the Earth, Ben Nevis Distillery, Nevis Range with mountain gondola and the Commando Monument.
You will never be short of things to do whether you want to relax and enjoy the scenery close to Nevis Rest or travel further a field. There is always plenty of scope to visit somewhere different each day.
Nevis Rest will make an ideal base from which to discover the many stunning landscapes and interesting locations of the Highlands of Scotland. We are within easy reach of Inverness, Culloden, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, Urquhart Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, Plockton, Isle of Skye, Mallaig, Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Oban.

Corriechoille Lodge is an old fishing Lodge in the Highlands of Scotland. It has been extensively renovated by its current owners, Justin & Lucy Swabey, to provide luxury Guest House/B&B accommodation.
Having been designed as a Guest Lodge, the layout of Corriechoille is well suited to the provision of guest accommodation. The spacious bedrooms, which are in the original part of the house at the front, all have en-suite facilities. We've tried to put everything into our guest bedrooms that we find most important when we stay away from home. This includes:
* king-sized double beds
* mattresses which are comfortable, firm and regularly replaced
* large and soft towels
* large baths/proper showers
In the Victorian extension at the rear of the Lodge, two first floor rooms have been joined together to form an airy sitting room with an open fire, comfortable sofas and spectacular panoramic views.
The accommodation comprises:-

* a double room with en-suite bathroom overlooking the garden, woodland and mountains.

Distant Hills is an established family run guest house, set in extensive grounds and located at the edge of the quiet Highland village Spean Bridge.
Spean Bridge is an ideal base for touring with all aspects of outdoor activities available locally and situated just three miles from the Nevis Range Mountain Experience which includes the mountain gondola, walks and bike trails. Distant Hills offers individually designed modern bedrooms with quality linens and lots of little extras. There is a choice of double or twin bedded en-suite rooms all at ground floor level.
At breakfast we aim to provide a wide and tasty choice sourcing our food locally where possible. The pancakes, fruit compote and marmalade are homemade and of course our eggs come from our own hens. The bacon, sausages, black pudding and haggis come from our local butchers.
To help you relax and unwind there is a large bright guest lounge with comfy sofas and armchairs overlooking the garden.
The spacious and colourful garden offers an opportunity to wander beside the stream in the peaceful surroundings with a pleasant outlook to the distant hills of the Grey Corries and Aonach Mor. You can also sit under the shady arbour and enjoy the quiet and tranquillity.

are also lots of those 'extras' which can often make the

We have a selection of books and DVDs for those long wet
afternoons, and for those who have come unprepared, welly
boots and maps are available for you to use.
We have 2 family rooms, one with bunk-beds, and a family suite
with separate single bedroom and shared bathroom. We also
have baby cots. As a single storey building, Old Pines is well
suited to those with mobility requirements. There is wheelchair
access throughout and many of the bedrooms were designed
with disabled guests in mind.
If you have any special requirements please do not hesitate to
ask, we will do everything we can to help.
Children are especially welcome. Cots and high chairs are
available. We also have an outdoor play area with play house and
trampoline, and games and DVDs to keep them amused in the
evenings.

With only three lodges on this large property you have an unrivalled sense of privacy and seclusion. Upstairs in Arkaig and Cluanie Lodge is one super king bedroom which can be converted into two twin beds and one double bedroom. Blair Lodge has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The main floor of all lodges has one bunk-bed room
The open plan kitchen, dining, Living room on the main floor has huge windows on three sides opening the space up to the beautiful views. With a well equipped kitchen with all the essentials including fitted ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and more.
In the lounge there is a wood burning stove (in Arkaig and Cluanie) or a coal effect electric fire place (Blair), flatscreen TV, and a selection of games and DVDs. The lounge leads onto a large enclosed decking area overlooking the gardens a perfect place for a glass of wine in view of the sunset and also a safe play area for children and pets.
