Hunter Holiday Cottages are situated in the Heart of Midlothian just 10 miles south of Edinburgh's city centre. The cottages are set within rolling countryside with mature woodland and arable land bordering the spacious cottage gardens.
Carrick is an upper 2 bedroomed level of the old coachman's house with Kyle below. It has been converted into a spacious, character filled cottage entered on an upper ground level. Carrick has a large kitchen/ living room with windows over looking the surrounding fields. The room has a fireplace with squirrel wood-burning stove, a country style dresser, dining table and well equipped kitchen. A door leads to the conservatory and balcony, a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after a hard days exploring.
Off the hallway are a double and twin room. Both are spacious and tastefully decorated with light pine furnishings and comfortable beds. The double has its own en-suite with jacuzzi bath and shower. Additional sleeping for 2 provided through a sofa bed in the lounge.
Kyle is situated on the ground floor level of the old coach house with Carrick above. It is entered through the original stone archway into the kitchen/ living room. The cottage has a light, spacious feel, with country style kitchen, wood burning (squirrel) stove and original fire place.
A corridor takes you to the double and twin room each having a door opening onto the private patio overlooking a paddock. Kyle is fully planned to cater for wheelchair access with large walk-in wet room.
Whether you are interested in visiting the City of Edinburgh, the castles and towns of the Scottish borders, the sunny East Lothian coastline or plan to venture North to the highlands. Hunters Holiday cottages are the perfect base for your adventures.
