Located in the quiet, crofting community of Baddidarrach in Lochinver, Sutherland; Caisteal Liath self-catering holiday chalets/cabins and cottage are available for weekly breaks during the summer months and for short stay breaks during the winter. They are set in their own well kept grounds on the northern side of Lochinver Bay with magnificent sea-loch and mountain views.
Each self catering property is south or west facing and during the long days of the summer months, it is an ideal suntrap. Here you can just simply relax, taking in the Highland air and watch the fishing fleet returning with their catch. Built of redwood, they are very well appointed, comfortably furnished and very well equipped with a very high standard of cleanliness. Each cabin is a real 'home from home' with open plan living room/kitchen/dining area and a full complement of modern fixtures and fittings.

Drive a short distance along our private road to arrive at your luxury cottage situated on our 80 acre estate, and your holiday begins as the breathtaking coastal vista unfolds.
We are situated four miles north of the village of Lochinver in this uniquely beautiful and remote area of the North West Scottish Highlands. We have paths to white sandy beaches, and there are abundant opportunities for walking, climbing, trout fishing and wildlife, or just chilling out.
Choose one of our two bedroom cottages or stay in our spacious all en-suite three bedroom cottage (with one ground floor double bedroom and suitable for those with mobility difficulties). Awarded 4 stars by the Scottish Tourist Board and a Green Tourism silver award, the cottages are fully equipped including jacuzzi baths and showers, Satellite TV, wireless broadband, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, CD & DVD players, double-glazing and full electric heating.
We are open all year round and offer short breaks from October to April. Linen and towels are provided, but electricity and well behaved pets are charged extra.

The generous proportions of the rooms allow for tasteful furnishings including six-foot wide beds, a wardrobe, writing desk, sideboard, coffee table and chairs.
The log fire roaring in the Scots Pine fireplace is the focal point of the relaxing residents' lounge, where the guests come to enjoy afternoon tea, a quiet game of cards or after-dinner conversation before retiring for the night.

Achard is located in a superb elevated position between Clashmore and Achnacarnin, on the Stoer peninsular, 10 miles north of Lochinver. It has panoramic views from Arkle and Foinaven in the north to the iconic mountains of Assynt, and southwards to Coigach, Torridon and Skye, including sea views and coastal scenery. Accommodation comprises a bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, bathroom, lounge with open fire, Freeview TV, CD/radio/cassette player and DVD player. The large kitchen-cum-dining room comes complete with microwave, cooker, fridge and dishwasher. An adjacent utility room contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.
The property is double-glazed throughout. The bedrooms, kitchen and lounge all provide superb views.
Linen, towels, electricity for heating and cooking included in price. Sorry, no pets.
There is a reduction on the standard rates if there are only 2 in your party, or if your booking is for 2 weeks or more. Short breaks of less than 1 week may be available out of season or as last minute bookings - phone or e-mail for information and for special deals.
