Gruinard is a picturesque stone built cottage, built at the turn of the century and has been refurbished to a very high standard with all modern facilities but keeping the original features of the period such as fireplaces and natural wood panelling.
This attractive and appealing guest house has a friendly and informal atmosphere, along with stunning views over the River Forth to Edinburgh and its skyline beyond. The colourful walled garden to the rear of the property is alive with local birdlife and contains unusual and very large driftwood sculptures along with many other seaside treasures all of which have been recovered locally, and are to be seen amongst the ever changing shrubbery.
The two bedrooms have recently been decorated to a high standard, with many thoughtful personal touches and each has a private en-suite shower room with natural pine floor good lighting and mirror. Each bedroom has, for your comfort and pleasure, a decanter of Sherry, fresh garden flowers, a well appointed hospitality tray with a wide range of beverages and home baked shortbread biscuits. Remote control television, clock and radio, plus hairdryer, hot water bottles, extra blankets and for those suffering from jet lag an additional heater.
For everyone's comfort Gruinard is a non smoking house. | |
