Claire and Grant Masterton would like to welcome you to the beautiful Scottish countryside.

Our family run B&B has the best of both worlds, located at the foot of the Pentland Hills but only twelve miles west of Edinburgh city centre with all its history, arts and leisure facilities. It is a ten minute drive to the nearest park and ride from which a bus will take you into the city centre in twenty minutes. The nearest railway station is only two and a half miles away with a direct line to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Edinburgh airport is nine miles away and the motorway network is easily accessible from our location.

The accomodation offered is one double bedroom with en-suite shower room and one family room (sleeps four) with a bath/shower room en-suite. The family room is available with any combination of double/single beds. Both rooms have colour TV with DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities.

A cooked Scottish or Continental breakfast is offered to start your day.

There are many off-road cycle paths in the area and if mountain biking is your thing there is the world famous Glentress Forest less than an hour's drive away. The Ross Residence apartment sleeps up to six guests in three comfortable bedrooms.

You'll love the sense of space you'll find here - beautiful public rooms to relax in with family and friends and well-proportioned bedrooms.

We offer flexible sleeping accommodation in one luxurious king size bedroom on the lower floor and two smart twin bedded rooms (plus a cot in a separate room if required) upstairs. If not in use as a nursery the small room is a great place to store suitcases.

Egyptian cotton 350 count linen and good quality towels are supplied as standard.

A large central hallway leads to a shower room with slate floor and a travertine floored cloakroom with WC. Upstairs you can enjoy the luxury of a double ended steel bath in our smart black and white bathroom.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen diner, a spacious lounge and as an extra bonus, a formal dining room. A dignified Edwardian Guest House offering Bed and Breakfast situated in a quiet conservation area and located 1 mile south of Edinburgh city centre. Ashdene House has been owned and managed by the Daulby family for many years and their considerable experience is apparent in the quality of service and comfort provided.

Bedrooms are centrally heated and all have ensuite facilities (shower, toilet and washbasin). They are equipped with hairdyrer, colour television, direct-dial telephone with Wi-fi internet connections for your laptop, and tea/coffee making facilities.

There is unrestricted street parking just outside the house and an excellent local bus service, just two minutes walk to the bus stop, gives access to the city centre in ten minutes. If one prefers, a stroll through the Meadows leads directly to the medieval Old Town.

Theatres, cinemas and restaurants are close at hand. There are a selection of restaurants within five minutes walk. Brochures and leaflets can be found in the bedrooms and at various other points in the house to help you decide. Tours are available around the city or to other parts of Scotland.
