Self Catering Brora for tranquillity, fun and loads of activities, walks, wildlife and more!

The photograph above shows Estuary View's front door (with the bench seat) although most enter and leave through the French windows that open out from the kitchen and face the Brora Golf Course across the Brora River estuary. A few minutes walk takes from this peaceful setting to the Hotels, bars, cafes & shops. Golf is a well supported activity but many more pursuits for all age groups and degrees of adventure including the most magnificent clean and safe beaches that run for miles. There is plenty to do and see with hill and coastal walks/rides and wildlife, sea-life and bird watching all year round. Where better to do all this than from Estuary View Self Catering Brora. Finish off your day on the patio watching the local seals, or even otters if you're lucky!

Comfortable spacious rooms with the equipment you need: with a large extension out towards the estuary and garden all the living spaces have the beautiful glen, river and sea views seen demonstrated by the photographs on the Brora Tourist & Visitors Website here. This means that whether you are eating in the kitchen dining area or resting in the first floor lounge, you'll be able to keep an eye out for the wildlife featured on the bottom of these pages you may even spot a odd surfer! On the ground floor, through the back French windows is a large open plan kitchen for all your self catering needs. Also on the ground floor there is a dining room, en-suite double room and a twin bedroom as well as a full size bathroom toilet with a bath. On the second floor there is a lounge, a triple room, another toilet and a family room with en-suite double and single bed. Parking is never an issue in Brora!

Garden furniture, chairs, table, parasol, BBQ and an outside lockable shed that can take bikes, golf clubs, and other outdoor gear. The kitchen has all the pots, pans, plates, cutlery required to go with the oven, dishwasher and washing machine facilities and fridge/freezer and microwave. New arrivals will be greeted by a starter pack with tea, milk, coffee, sugar etc & kitchen film/foil/roll and a vase of fresh flowers. Ready for you to move in and relax!

All linen, bedding and towels are provided and local owners Addie and Helen are only 1 minute walk around the corner. If there is anything we've forgotten we'll try to help.

Ataireachd Ard is a comfortable traditional Highland cottage with magnificent sea views from all windows. Downstairs the living room and separate dining room have new wooden floors, there is an optional open fire in the lounge, a bathroom with additional power shower and a modern kitchen with access to an enclosed garden. This has a BBQ and chairs although the garden opposite is beautiful to sit in by the water. The cottage has all mod cons - dishwasher, microwave, washer/drier, WiFi, DVD, video and BTVision with Sky 1 and 2 and manages to be both spacious and cosy.

Upstairs here are 3 bedrooms (one very large and en suite with power shower and double windows and one with triple beds). Travel cot, z-bed and high chair are also available.

Enjoy the sea, birdwatching or glorious sunsets from the front garden. Seals otters and ducks play here at the mouth of the River Brora and there are birds galore. The coastal walk to Golspie also starts here. Only a short distance away is the pretty harbour, the shops and other amenities, golf course and wonderful sandy beaches. You can also sample Capaldi's famous ice cream or visit the Clynelish Distillery.

Brora is only an hour north of Inverness and within easy reach of the north coast, the Flow Country and Orkney, and the more isolated, rugged west coast. There is walking to suit everyone, fishing in the Brora, beautiful woodland walks at Golspie, or castles and brochs to explore, and an RSPB site at nearby Loch Fleet.

Coal/wood free. Central heating - night storage. Electricity 12p/unit. All bed linen included. Enclosed garden to rear. Parking.

I am totally biased - it is such a beautiful part of Scotland. I hope others will love it as much!
